Launched in Paris in 2012 by 3 distinct women who graduated at the top of their class from ESSEC Business School's MBA in International Luxury Brand Management, Complementary Minds is a boutique consultancy focusing on management consulting and strategic brand development for luxury and consumer lifestyle clients.
ANNA brings a blend of business aptitude and digital specialization to Complementary Minds, and she is excited to get to use both each and every day in the pursuit of strategic invention. A born-to-be consultant, Anna came to us from PACT Consulting Group in Munich. Upon selection by top management to join the PACT Junior Academy, an internal training program for high potentials, she quickly gained more responsibility and took over the role of Brand Strategy & Media Consultant. For international brands in the Automotive, Consumer Electronics, and FMCG industries she uncovered consumer insights and transformed these ideas into marketing strategy and tactics. Along the way she worked with highly notable and respected brands such as Porsche, Jaguar, BMW, Mini, DERAG Living Hotels, and Red Bull, bridging online and offline spheres and bringing lead generation and qualification to the next level. Anna started her career in digital media diversification at Publicis Group and ProSieben Sat.1 Media Group, where she focused mainly on network communication solutions.
Educated in Germany, the UK and France, Anna speaks 3 languages fluently. In 2007 she graduated the top of her class from the Macromedia Business School of Media Management and Economics in Cologne. Most recently, Anna earned with Honors her MBA in International Luxury Brand Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris.
Anna utilizes her ability to both implement corporate strategy and advise on new innovative direction for our clients. She has a keen understanding of strategic value creation, both through brand building concepts and go-to-market scenarios.X
ANNIE brings, along with entrepreneurship, a financial and commercial background to Complementary Minds. At PricewaterhouseCoopers she worked as an Auditor in the Retail and Consumer Products Group in New York. Earning early promotion to Senior Associate and taking on manager level responsibility, Annie gained exposure to both large and small cap clients across a wide range of industries including Apparel, Consumer Products, and Cosmetics. Working with clients such as L’Oréal USA, Nike, and Rafaella Apparel Group (Perry Ellis), her role was to not only perform technical research and financial analysis, but to streamline business processes and provide strategic recommendations to clients. She also had the opportunity to work on high-profile transactions such as L’Oréal's acquisitions of distributors BAI and Maly’s West, and the brands Pureology and YSL Beauté. An entrepreneur by birth, Annie started her career learning key operations of the family-owned business, Reser’s Fine Foods.
A homegrown Oregonite, Annie graduated with Honors from the College of Business at Oregon State University in 2005, where she received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and double minors in Communications and Spanish. Most recently, Annie earned Major de Promotion, or Valedictorian with an MBA in International Luxury Brand Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris.

NORA brings her creativity to Complementary Minds upon discovering it is the connective thread in a career bridging Art, Marketing, and Public Relations. Working in a highly charged idea-centric environment at L’Oréal Luxury Division in Paris, Nora combined her passion for storytelling and design with rigorous economic and technical feasibility analyses in strategic branding and marketing projects for Giorgio Armani Beauty. Prior to doing so, she inherited a role in Communication and Public Relations for the well-known French Jewelry brand Cartier (Richemont Group), where she was responsible for strengthening the brand image and establishing strategic launches onto the Japanese market. Her Luxury Industry foundation was initially built by her former experience as Marketing Executive for Selective Niche brands Maurice Lacroix, Parmigiani Fleurier, and Graham for Desco Luxury Group, a Swiss Luxury Watch Retailer.
Half German and Half Japanese, Nora was born in Paris, raised in Germany, has lived and worked in Germany, Switzerland, Japan and France, learning 4 languages fluently along the way. She earned a double degree in Media/ Communications Economics and Business Mediation in Germany in 2006 and also recently graduated with Honors with an MBA in International Luxury Brand Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris.
Nora has a deep love of people and products, and a fascination with how both are affected at the intersection of branding. Her background shapes everything she does and explains her restless curiosity.X
